I think most all would agree that some sort of bailout, oops, rescue is necessary for the banking system and therefore for all of us. What we need is to get back to the 3 page document that the Pres first sent to Congress. Yeah, maybe it needs some additional oversight, but overall it addressed the problem, and only the problem.
Once the House got a hold of it, it blossomed to a mere 110 page document, beginning to be weighted down by additional spending.
Then, holy crap, the Senate took it and it ballooned to over 400 pages! Imagine all the extra spending that has been tagged on now!
And the American public got a bit of a jolt from a 777 point drop and reportedly are clamoring at their leaders to pass something and do it now. Wow. Open checkbook for a crew of leaders who cannot help themselves. What's a few million buried in 400 plus pages tagged onto 700 Billion?
Get these bastards out and get them out now.
